- Windows Server 2012 R2 Remote Desktop Services Licensing Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ): The big change being that you can use 2012 R2 RDS CALs on public cloud services.
- Server And Cloud Enrollment: A new SKU for enterprise agreements bundling Windows Server, System Center, other application products, and Windows Azure.

If you’re running Windows VM then you license the hosts for Windows Server, no matter what virtualization you use. Been like that since at least 2004. Sounds like you don’t get that, and I get some easy money.
